Revolution + Rebellion.
It’s a bumpy start to the New Year, but we’re almost through it! February completes the two month phase of Revolution + Rebellion that started on Jan 6th as assertive Mars finally exited it’s 2020 warlord position while rioters stormed the US Capitol resisting the transition to a new future. This month is the first Mercury Retrograde of 2021 where we review the new changes and clean out leftovers from last year. Don’t fret folks, things get a lot more normal after March so hang in there…
February reviews: the new US president and wraps up lose ends on the old administration, the vaccine, technology innovations, digitalization, outer space, social life, and community-versus-individual rights.

1/30-2/1 MERCURY RETROGRADE BEGINS. What is your 2021 intention? The universe checks to see if you’ve been living up to it over the next three weeks. From Jan 30th-Feb 20th you’ll get a kick in the butt early in the year to get it in gear. Time to do goal-getting, not just goal-setting.
Collectively, the next three weeks will review, finalize, and smooth over major changes implemented in January:

2/5-6 VALUES CONFLICT. Venus electrifies secure Saturn and libertine Uranus, sparking the debate between freedom-versus-familiarity in matters of love and money. You may feel polarized between sizzling options: fear or thrill, safety or risk, old or new, responsibility or individuality?
2/8-11 MERCURY RETROGRADE MIDPOINT. Our first review period of 2021 reaches it’s halfway mark, so it’s time to turn the corner from conceptualization to manifestation and past to future. Since the end of January you may have been wrapping up 2020 leftovers and daydreaming about what you’d like to accomplish in the new year. But now it’s time to get off the vision board. Jump into action bringing 2021 goals into reality through Feb 20th.
2/11-14 AQUARIUS NEW MOON. We’ve just passed the midpoint of the Mercury Retrograde review period. Over the past two weeks you recognized areas of life needing reprioritization so that your overall 2021 goal can come to fruition. From this point to the end of the review period on 2/20 is the ‘doing’ part, so actively make adjustments that set you up for an outstanding New Year.
This New Moon coincides with the Chinese Lunar New Year and is complimented by a lucky alignment with Venus, Jupiter, and the Mercury Retrograde itself- it couldn’t be more perfect! You might receive good news, make a big announcement, try your hand in love or money, or celebrate a special occasion into Valentine’s Day.
Nationally, this New Moon coincides the impeachment trial of former US President Trump- a process which first began at January’s New Moon on Jan 12-14th. See the timing connection? That’s how astrology works. We’ll hear more about the impeachment outcome around Feb 17-20th, though it may take until March 13th to get totally sorted out.
The New Moon + Mercury Retrograde both occur in the revolutionary, innovative, and icy sign of the water-bearer Aquarius. Unsurprisingly, SpaceX was just contracted to launch two pieces of a future Moon space station and America is being swept by freezing cold rain storms.
2/17-20 BREAKTHROUGHS OR STANDOFFS. A rare alignment of two-heavy hitters, Saturn & Uranus, sets themes that evolve year-long: especially during January, February, June, and December 2021.
Personally, you are poised for breakout moves that support out-of-the-box thinking, risk-taking, thrill-seeking, and freedom. Make choices the feel ground-breaking and exciting. Be more expansive than in 2020.
Collectively, the Saturn-Uranus alignment could work out in two ways depending on how the powers at hand express themselves. Saturn symbolizes (tradition | rules | patriarchy | hierarchy | government | responsibility | time) and Uranus symbolizes (science | technology | electricity | outer space | innovation | surprise | revolution | the people).
Positively used, we may soon anticipate innovations and breakthroughs. Negatively used, we may soon anticipate rebellion or overturn.
In the US, watch for either a political breakthrough/standoff regarding the Trump impeachment, a Biden vaccine proclamation, and the announcement of a scientific, medical, or technological breakthrough/push around Jan17th-20th that trickles into March.
We recently experienced a similar alignment on Jan 17-20th which coincided with the US Inauguration, outbound President Trump’s historic absence at the big day, militarization of the Capitol, incoming President Biden’s 100-day vaccine announcement, US re-entry into the environmental Paris Agreement, and tech innovator Elon Musk becoming the richest person in the world.
2/20 MERCURY RETROGRADE ENDS. Hallelujah- RIP, retrograde! Our first review period of 2021 has been successfully completed and we’re feeling set up for the rest of the year. Since the end of January hopefully you’ve wrapped up all necessary leftovers from 2020 and were actively working on new initiatives to bring to life. Final details which have been delayed since Jan 30th may fall into place at last, really flourishing up to March 13th.
Collectively, there may be a milestone regarding the Trump impeachment, Biden presidential initiatives, the vaccine update, social media and digital data dilemmas (Facebook, WhatsApp, Parler, etc.), stocks settling down (Reddit, Gamestop, Bitcoin, etc.), and more outer space announcements (SpaceX, Tesla, NASA, etc.)
*Although Mercury Retrograde ends on 2/20 it takes until 3/13 for the planet to regain lost ground from it’s reverse trek across the sky, so keep letting your plans evolve.
2/27 VIRGO FULL MOON. If you’ve been asking since 2020 “When will this end?”, then good news is the hard part is largely over and the rest of this year is looking up! 2020 was an anomaly that trickles into the first two months of 2021, but levels off after March. No, nothing will ever go back to ‘normal’. But our sense of ‘new normal’ is well on its way.
