I want to challenge your definition of Success: that it’s not the standard American Dream you’ve been sold of Hard Work, Money, + Status.
That when you say- “I want to be successful”- what you’re actually searching for is a type of Invisible Power that makes your life meaningful.
Some sort of internal state of being or inner quality that is achieved through the purposeful direction of how you outwardly spend your time and effort.
I want to challenge you that if through hard work you achieved only money + status, you might still end up a failure.
Don’t believe me?
Try it on for size.
What if you had an elite career making tons of cash, but—you had no time for relationships and no one to love you, your health was falling apart from stress and burnout, your schedule was chaos so you lived in a state of constant anxiety, you had no hobbies or friendships because you never bothered to cultivate interests outside of your job, discerning what to do next was difficult because it was hard to hear the difference between your intuition versus expectations in your own head, you were celebrated as ‘productive’ for being always busy but you weren’t sure if what you were doing really mattered in the world, and- while you appeared to “Have It All” with professional accomplishments and a big bank account- most people didn’t want to be like you.
If this were your life, would you call yourself Successful? Probably not.
There’s your proof that the success you seek involves Invisible Powers beyond just material attainments.
I see the failure of hard work, money, and status in executive leaders all the time.
Early in my corporate coaching career working with leaders from the Wall Street financial industry and construction building industry, I noticed that most rich and powerful executives were also some of the unhappiest people I knew. Observing executive discontent seemed odd at first because, from the outside, these people were the shining image of ‘The American Dream’ that mainstream society tells us we should aspire to: they all had fancy job titles, drove expensive cars, lived in big houses, and were constantly busy working. So why were most of them unhappy?
Redefining ‘Success’ & The Amercian Dream.
Although I was surrounded by elite business leaders, I actually didn’t want my own life to end up like theirs. Something seemed missing in their apparent success. That’s when I started noticing the many intangible cravings longing to be fulfilled.
In fact, the happiest people I knew were people who had:
· defined a sense of Purpose in their life,
· maintained a sense of Inner Peace,
· took care of their Health,
· time for Meaningful Connections like relationships, hobbies, and community involvement,
· held some consistent Spiritual Practice or Mindfulness Self-Care Practice, and
· felt their talents were useful in Making A Difference in the world to help others.
And interestingly these qualities of a happy person weren’t exclusive to their job title or income level.
If this were your life, would you call yourself Successful? Probably so.
Let me remind you: the success you seek involves Invisible Powers- internal states of being or inner qualities- that make your life meaningful. It is not exclusive to your career or income. However, the success you seek can be achieved through the purposeful direction of how you outwardly spend your time and effort. In this way, the Invisible Powers can be used to also maximize your attainment of money or status.
So before you define your goals as exclusive to a financial number or professional title, consider what inner feelings or lifestyle qualities may also define ‘success’ for you. Otherwise, you might end up with a bunch of money and responsibility that still doesn’t really make you happy.
The Wish Experiment.
In 2021, I did an experiment on my birthday by sending an email newsletter to all my clients asking what they would wish me for my birthday. Interestingly, the top results of what people wished for wasn’t millions of dollars or fancy things.
The #1 thing people wished for was Happiness.
#2 Love, #3 Peace, skipping ahead on the list #5 Travel, much further down the list #8 Money, and towards the bottom of the list #10 Professional Success. This experiment revealed that the top things we all really hope to achieve in life are Invisible Powers- defined as Internal States Of Being or Inner Qualities- beyond just tangible attainments (though they are important too). Keep this in mind as you consider what you really want out of life. You also need to consider what support systems you’ll need to attain those aspirations.
Advice From A $23.2 Million Dollar Man
I once asked a client who sold $23.2 Million Dollars of real estate in a single year and started a charity to write his own ‘Rulebook For Success’ listing the top things he would suggest anyone do in order to feel more successful in their life. His answers surprised me.
The #1 thing my my $23.2 Million Dollar client recommended anyone do in order to feel more successful in life was to Get A Coach-
someone to consistently mentor you because it is the fastest way toward living your best life.
It's striking that achievers immediately recognize the need for support systems in order to achieve their big goals. So here are some limitations I invite you to release as you make your plan for success:
· Let go of the fantasy that you’re going to figure yourself out by yourself.
· Let go of the fantasy that you’re going to read all the free books and watch all the free online videos to solve your problems expediently and expertly.
· Let go of the fantasy that you’re going to independently hold yourself accountable for research, growth, and transformation… in addition to everything else on your to-do list.
· Let go of the fantasy that you’ll be able to independently spot self-sabotage when it’s happening and have the singular strength to prevent getting in your own way.
My invitation is for you to invest in an intentional life by getting a guide who can help you get ahead.

1/1 NEW YEAR, NEW TIMELINE.
Mercury Retrograde ends.
The destiny path gets cleared as old timelines from 2023 complete and new timelines for 2024 emerge when Mercury Retrograde ends- hooray! And the new destiny path may look entirely different from last year.
January won’t just pick up where things left off. 2024 is a renaissance, not a repeat. This year holds some miraculous surprises in health + wealth, plus long-distance opportunities or place-changing for many people.
Holiday hiccups and delays from December clear out over the first few weeks of January- especially if paused plans involved matters linked to a prospective relocation, travel, or aspirations for business or love in a faraway place in 2024. January holds great momentum around Money in terms of increased cash flow, Payable Talents in terms of multiple income streams based on the variety of things you’re good at that people would be willing to pay you for, Self-Worth in terms of your inner confidence, and Assets/Acquisitions in terms of strategic purchases that hold long-term benefit (ex: like coaching- just saying!).
It's important to consider early on in the New Year what the definition of ‘success’ means to you, what support you’ll need in getting there, and how to remain connected to signs from the universe about unexpected avenues to achieve health or wealth so you don’t miss the miracles sent to guide you.
1/4-2/13 GET DOWN TO BUSINESS.
Mars in Capricorn.
Mars enters Capricorn for the next few weeks helping you ‘get down to business’ at the start of the year. Focus on finances, business planning for the year ahead, and effective systems for consistently repeatable success. You’re in ‘deal mode’ until Valentine’s Day. But what exactly are you striving for? How would you know if success walked through the door right now and stared you in the face? How will you know when you’ve ‘arrived’? What if you’re already successful but just don’t realize it? Don’t just be busy unless you’re really clear as to what end all this busyness is aiming for.
1/11-13 DEAL MODE.
New Moon + Mercury in Capricorn.
A New Moon and Mercury shift into Capricorn, helping clean out the remaining loose ends from the 2023 holiday Mercury Retrograde. Whatever was hiccupped or delayed during holiday season is well on its way toward getting aligned. Especially regarding contracts/agreements, key information, crucial conversations, and negotiating. It may also assist business networking or business travel.
1/20 THE AGE OF REVOLUTION: 250-year rare alignment.
Pluto in Aquarius.
A geocosmic alignment that hasn’t happened in 250 years sets the stage for a 20-year cycle of revolution in our personal lives and our nation. This alignment hasn’t happened since the 1776 founding of the United States, the American Revolution and the French Revolution. It’s the shift of Pluto- symbol of Power, Death, Shadows, & Alchemy- into the constellation of Aquarius for the next 20 years. This represents the absolute irrevocable death of old ways that precipitates shocking new ways of living in an almost overnight kind of feeling. It feels like the evolutionary force of transformation that you couldn’t stop even if you wanted to; like when nature takes over, and you simply must submit yourself to trusting the process. The energetic themes are craving more Freedom, Individuality, and Progress. We will battle to define ‘Sovereignty’ in our personal lives and nation for the coming geocosmic age. What area of your life requires a revolution to get revved up so you can feel freer?
A hint for decision-making in the times ahead: pick the path that liberates you, not protects you.
1/23-2/16 PROFITABLE RELATIONSHIPS.

During the three weeks from 1/23-2/16 you are attracting profitable relationships: clients, business partnerships, resourceful friendships, or romances with tangible material benefits. Consider also- what do you bring to the table?
1/25-27 DO NO HARM, BUT TAKE NO $#!+.
Leo Full Moon.
A breakthrough 72-hour window jumpstarts your New Year’s initiatives from 1/25-27 with a Leo Full Moon, the forward momentum of Uranus, and a kick-butt combination of Mercury and Mars. Let the lion roar. You’re ready for life to move forward in big ways. You might throw punches or pushing stuck energy out of the way regarding people or circumstances that dim your light, steal your power, or keep you constrained. Do no harm- but take no shit.
