August 2025 is a Ripening.
This month’s energy is Resistance Ready To Pop.
The keynotes are Denial, Chemistry, & Constraints.
The question for August is:
Are you sure you know where you’re going now?
July 2025 was a Quadruple Retrograde that tested your own judgment, making you doubt and re-route. Four things- Saturn, Neptune, Mercury, and Chiron- pulled their retrograde review forcing you to confront things that you had been refusing to see.
Over the last 30 days you
Ran the risk of false fantasies, trusting people or chasing situations that weren’t what they seemed.
Then you confronted the responsibility of right action: needing the courage to confront things head on and not procrastinate on tough decisions.
You had to avoid the temptation of repetition: resist the lure of past patterns repeating themselves, or the lure of letting old wounds and self-doubt talk you out of moving forward on pathways right in front of you.
And you may have had to pass the test of truthful communication: carefully reviewing contracts and promises, eyeing to make sure other people’s words and actions actually match and boldly sharing what you really think.
August concludes the summer Mercury Retrograde cycle, and brings several geocosmic shifts that help-

Furthermore, romance and business partnerships take a front seat during August and September.
On the global stage, money markets make two distinct shifts this month. The first shift points to the emotional and intuitive sides of money, and the second shift points to the creative and identity-defining sides of money. It is also curious that US Federal Reserve board member Adriana Kugler is resigning on 8/8 (a date popularly known as the Lion’s Gate Portal), leaving a vacancy open on the board of one of the world’s largest financial institutions. We’ll have to see who US President Trump positions to fill that vacancy.
August will also see global wars accelerate but under the guise of high-stakes diplomatic negotiations rather than by bullets alone. We might watch some unexpected and confusing alliances or trade sanctions be used as diplomatic tactics. When that doesn’t work, some countries may resort to the ideology of a “just war” as a modification for why they dive into battle- such as proclaiming a perceived need to protect oppressed people’s or defend national territory lines. Think of places like Gaza. The world watching may question what justice really looks like when average civilians on all sides seem to still be suffering in spite of governmental claims to be ‘doing the right thing’ for moral reasons.
And, of course, we’ll dive into the pop culture phenomena dubbed the Lion’s Gate Portal to uncover what actually happens on the acclaimed date of 8/8…and what doesn’t.
